Terms of Service

The rules, in plain English.

By creating a FamilyBrief account or forwarding emails to a FamilyBrief address, you agree to these terms.

The service

FamilyBrief receives emails you forward to it, extracts dates, deadlines, fees, and action items, and presents them in a weekly view and reminder emails. We may change, improve, or remove features over time.

Your account

You are responsible for the email address you sign in with and the people you invite into your household. Do not share verification codes. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

Forward only emails you have the right to forward. Do not use FamilyBrief to process unlawful content, harass others, or attempt to break our systems. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Your content

You own the emails you forward and the events we extract from them. You grant FamilyBrief a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you and your household.

Pricing and billing

Pricing is published on the pricing page. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers. Trials and refunds are handled as described on the pricing page.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. You can delete your account by emailing privacy@familybrief.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

No warranty

FamilyBrief extracts events using a language model and may miss details or get them wrong. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Always verify important dates and deadlines in the original email.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyBrief's total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for missed deadlines, indirect damages, or lost data.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, sent to you by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
